{"id":881,"date":"2014-03-05T10:41:49","date_gmt":"2014-03-05T10:41:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vila.es\/en\/?p=881"},"modified":"2021-06-02T16:16:57","modified_gmt":"2021-06-02T16:16:57","slug":"decrease-in-social-security-contributions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vila.es\/en\/employment-and-social-security\/decrease-in-social-security-contributions\/","title":{"rendered":"DECREASE IN SOCIAL SECURITY CONTRIBUTIONS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the 1st of March Royal Decree-Law 3\/2014 of 28th of February entered into force regarding urgent measures to impulse employment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This regulation sets out substantial reductions in contributions borne by the employer to the Social Security system.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A) Amount of the reductions:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The quota for common contingencies shall be as follows:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>100 Euro per month for full time employment agreements.<\/li>\n<li>75 Euro per month for part time employment agreements.<\/li>\n<li>50 Euro per month for part time employment agreements, depending on the daily working hours (which must amount to at least 50% of full time working hours).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">B) Applicable term for the reductions:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Generally speaking, 24 months; however, employers with less tan 10 workers will be entitled to obtain a 50% reduction in quotas for an additional period of 12 months.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">C) Eligible employers:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The applicant must meet a number of conditions precedent, such as being up to date in payments to the Inland Revenue and the Social Security System.<br \/>\nFor a period of 3 years, the applicant must maintain levels of permanent employment and global employment within the company.<br \/>\nThe employment agreements must be of a permanent nature.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">D) Exceptions:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Royal Decree-Law sets out a number of exceptions to the application of the said reduced contributions.
